1.Brief introduction of University of Waikato, New Zealand

The University of Waikato was founded in 1964, located in Hamilton, which is one of the eight national universities in New Zealand, and is also the first-class research university in New Zealand. At present, there are eight departments in the University of Waikato. The school of management, as the first academic research business school in New Zealand, has been certified by the three major business schools in the world, known as "Harvard in the southern hemisphere", and "QS five-star University" in 2016.

All sophomores and juniors can take part in the selection. Select 2 students in each major.

4.Section conditions and procedures

（1）Selection conditions:

●Develop morally, intellectually, and physically in an all-round way, and have a good comprehensive evaluation of knowledge, ability, quality and record.

●Students’ GPA in ZUCC should reach 3.0.

●Your IELTS grade and score of writing part need to reach 6 points, or you have passed the English test of the University of Waikato.

（2）Selection procedures：

●Students should submit the project application form and other required materials to the international exchange and cooperation department for registration Selection conditions and procedures.

●The Department of international exchange and cooperation reviews the materials and determine the recommended list for preliminary review.

●The University of Waikato conducts an English language test for students who do not submit IELTS scores.

●The University of Waikato interviews the students recommended by the preliminary examination.

●After joint deliberation with the University of Waikato, the school of business will publish the list of selected students on the office website after being approved by the overseas study working group.

5.Costs

（1）During the exchange study in New Zealand, students pay according to the tuition regulations of the University of Waikato. The tuition fee is approximately NZ $10,506 per semester or $21,012 per academic year, including course fees for up to 70 credits per semester, miscellaneous fees (including health and construction tax, student union dues and performance report fees). Students need to pay for additional insurance.

（2）Cost of living: About NZ $7,500 per semester (measured by the average consumption level of most students).

（3）Students are required to pay professional and credit tuition fees in accordance with the relevant regulations of the college. Project feature

Academic advantages of the partner: The University of Waikato in New Zealand is one of the eight national universities in New Zealand. Its school of management is one of the best management schools in New Zealand. It has rich experience in international cooperation and is good at cultivating high-level international financial and financial management talents suitable for domestic and foreign talent markets.

Foreign government support: the project was strongly supported by the New Zealand government. The New Zealand Minister of education, Ambassador to China and Consul General in Shanghai attended the signing ceremony of the cooperation project between the two schools. The Consul General in Shanghai and the director of the immigration and visa office came to attend the school-opening ceremony of the cooperation project in person.

 The teaching content is in line with international standards: the project training plan, curriculum, appointment of key teachers, teaching management, etc. are jointly agreed by China and New Zealand. The courses offered by the University of Waikato in ZUCC are internationally recognized.

Excellent student resources, advanced curriculum system and training mode fully reflect the high cost performance of the project, and there are plenties of student apply for the opportunities. So far, a total of 381 students of nine groups have gone to the University of Waikato. At present, there are 317 students in the program.

Educational system and training mode

  The educational system of this project is four years. The whole university education period is divided into three stages: the first stage covers 2.5 years, strengthening the basic English, studying academic English, basic core courses and professional core courses; the second stage covers 1 year, studying 8 original textbook courses taught by excellent teachers from China and abroad; the third stage covers 0.5 years, in which time students complete the graduation thesis.

  Students who are willing to go to New Zealand for exchange can apply for one year of exchange study in New Zealand after completing and passing the first 2.5 years of study and meeting the English requirements of the University of Waikato. After completing the relevant courses of the University of Waikato, they can apply for a bachelor's degree certificate from the University of Waikato.

  Since 2011, the school of business of ZUCC has carried out major reform and value promotion in the first phase of the project for 2.5 years, further introducing high-quality teaching resources from the partners, and teaching in accordance with the curriculum system and training mode of the University of Waikato. Through the first 2.5 years of study in City College, students can quickly adapt to the New Zealand teaching method.

Students who have participated in the national college entrance examination, have reached the admission mark of ZUCC and scored 100 or above in English. The project only enrolls professional volunteer candidates.

The conditions to study in University of Waikato are as follows:

1. Academic conditions: complete all the courses in the pre training plan, pass the examination and the test.

2. Requirements for English: pass the English test required by The University of Waikato.

3. Economic conditions: meet the requirements of visa office of New Zealand Embassy and consulate.

4. License conditions: obtain the relevant visa from the New Zealand Embassy and consulate.

Diploma and certificate

Students who are qualified in moral and physical education and have completed the courses specified in the registered professional education and teaching plan within the learning period stipulated by the college, and meet the minimum graduation credit requirements of the college, the college will issue the undergraduate diploma of Zhejiang University City College, which is printed according to the national unified specifications.

Students who go to the University of Waikato in New Zealand can apply for a bachelor's degree from the University of Waikato if they have completed their studies and passed the examination according to the relevant regulations of the University.
